Default Do You Ever Experience Prejudice Because of Your Age?

For those of us that have children in our twenties, whether chosen or happy surprises, I have a question: have you ever experienced prejudice because of your age? What was it about? Where did it occur? Who delivered the attitude? How did it make you feel? Did it change how you did anything with your parenting or other life choices?

I have in the past though I think I've forced myself to remember specific examples. I do know that I refuse to go out in public with my children without my wedding bands. I was getting one sized before and bought a fake one to wear during the interim. Seriously. People have been nasty. I normally try to dress a little older than I look (I'm almost 28 but I look AND sound very young). I can't decide yet if longer or shorter hair makes me look older or younger so I'm sporting an "in-the-middle-length" kind of style.

Has this happened to you?

If not, do you know why? Is it your confidence? Or does your voice sound older? Or have you always looked more mature than your age? Do you have any tips for those of us that do experience such prejudice (other than to magically gain self-confidence...).
