I've been struggling with finding time for myself lately. Between the kids (2 of them), the husband, the job and the commitments made to other people and things, I barely have time to breathe! I'm making time to read a book right now (in the bathroom, mind you) that tells me that I need to be actively making more time for myself.
But when?! The only free time I have is when I'm sleeping. And I don't even sleep all that well because I stay awake in bed and think of everything I can or should be doing. Help. |

I understand exactly what you're saying! Wyatt's usually in bed by 7:30, so once he's down, and I clean up the house and do some laundry, I finally get some "me" time; of course I have to make sure I get some quality time in with my DH too
What I would give to be able to get a haircut every 6 weeks, or go shopping and actually be able to look and browse! I love to sew and quilt, but haven't been able to do that since Wyatt was born. I hope that once he gets a little older I can get back into it. I am actually going to get a pedicure tonight...I got a mani & pedi gift certificate for Valentine's Day from DH and son!

Jen you are lucky you get tub time. My son has to be in the bathroom with me or else he is SCREAMING outside the door and even though my Hubby tries his best to keep him happy while I am taking a shower you still hear my son SCREAMING for me so shower time is no longer relaxing for me
I struggle with this issue every day. When will it be "Elsa" time, when will I get 1 hour to read a book, kick my feet up, watch some TV with no interruptions, WHEN??? Between working full time, taking care of the house, taking care of my son there is just not enough hours in the day. My Hubby says we will have our time again in about 20 years, LOL!!! Hugs!! |

lol! i totally use the "i have to go to the bathroom" excuse....when i don't need to...just to steal 5 minutes to myself. lol. i am not sure how to carve too much more time into my day without a kiddo hanging off my ankle. i do try to stay up late, after all the littles go to bed at 7...because without that time, i'd have nothing.
i do find that when the house starts to get a little messier and the meals come a little later with more repititions, my dh volunteers to stay home with the children and tells me to go get a pedicure with a friend. lol. maybe ask for a mama's day out.
