Winter Plans/Swine Flu
Okay, so I try not to get into this state of fear about the whole thing, but I read an article today about a "plausible scenario" where 90,000 people, mostly children, die this winter of swine flu. That freaked me out. I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter that I currently stay at home with. This is what I am mulling over as a contingency plan:
1. No visits this winter to school-age cousins and such.
2. No group classes with other toddlers - single playdates are fine.
3. Begin a preschool-level homeschool curriculum so we don't just wind up watching DVDs all day.
4. Plan outings to the library/children's museum carefully, try to go only during off-peak hours.
Thoughts? I won't activate this plan unless it looks like the situation is bad, but I am a little afraid right now, when I am not normally a fearful person.
