annoying loud child's toys...

have you ever had a annoying singing or musical toy from your child's that makes you crazy ?
what would you do with this toys when you couldn't put out the battery ?

I found that putting a piece of tape (masking, duct, packing - heavy duty type) over where ever the noise came from usually made it more bearable.

Noisy toys tend to get "lost" in the closet pretty quickly here.

He likes the other toys better anyway. At this point (16 months) noisy toys are for beating people and pets over the head. I'd ask people not to give them at all, but that's pretty fruitless.
