Thumbs up Tip of the day...

Is there one tip that you would pass on to someone as a new parent? What would it be? Did you get that tip from someone in your family or a friend and you have found that it works really well?

One tip that I received is to have the diaper bag always ready to go. Keep it stocked with all the essentials just in case you need to run out. In the same lines as that to also have a smaller diaper bag ready to just run to the grocery store with so you don't have to carry your normal big one.

yes! get a gallon sized ziploc bag...put in 2 diapers that are the next size up from what your child wears now, a pair of socks, and an outfit that is slightly too big that you don't care too much about, and a small pack of wipes. throw it in your car, and forget it about it. then...when your child has an unexpected accident, you forgot the diaper bag, or you have already used what was in it...you won't find yourself taking a screaming, wet, disgusting baby/child into target for a pack of diapers, wipes, socks, and a new outfit. lol. (says the mom who has done this more than once!) my emergency kit is now a lifesaver...and i tell people, if you don't think you need it...you'll need it! better safe than sorry.

To add to this, I keep an empty sippy cup and baggie of dry cereal with it--just incase a quick errand turns into lunch somewhere because she just can't wait!

Those are great tips!! I always have my diaper bag ready to go, but the ziploc emergency kit is something that I didn't think of. I would always just throw an outfit in my diaper bad each time we went out, but now I'm definitely putting something together that I can just leave in the car.

Thanks!!
