Default Molars Might Be the Death of Me

Last night my youngest was up all night with molar teething issues. I am still in my pajamas at 1:23 in the afternoon because of the small amount of sleep that I did get. I'm exhausted! I feel like I'm parenting a newborn all over again!

Teething Tablets don't seem to touch this pain. We have purchased the Baby Orajel swabs but they don't seem to make it through the night (obviously). We don't normally have baby tylenol or iboprofen in the house as we don't like how they are overused but I'm guessing this might be one of those cases where it is warranted. I hate seeing him in pain.

So my question: which is better for molar teething pain: tylenol or ibuprofen? Also, what's better for MY sleep-deprivation headache: tylenol or ibuprofen?

Thanks!

The motrin works better. Jayden started cutting his 3 weeks ago. But be carefull with the motrin...it is better to switch off between that and Tylenol.

For you, Motrin is better. Good Luck

Around 15 months.

The top molars are half and half through the skin. The bottom are just making the gums bulge. It's awful. He is a drooling machine. It's so very sad.

Oh boy..do I know this well!!! I feel like Brady has been cutting Molars forever!! Not sleeping at night, getting up at least twice a night screaming!! I used both Tylenol and Motrin. Motrin is probably the best since it's great for pain and swelling. Tylenol is good to use at night since it has an antihistamine in it and good for the pain as well.

I took Brady for his 15 month appt last Friday and my Ped felt around in his mouth and was shocked, he has all 4 molars, 2 just cut thru!! I couldn't believe it. At least that's over with, few! He's still getting up every other night screaming, but my Ped thinks he might be having nightmares, poor baby

We used the oragel and motrin, but our secret is frozen french fries. Let him chew on them whenever he wants to but especially before bed. The fries disintigrate while they chew/suck on them, and are cold and dense.
Alex was very late cutting any teeth and as a resuly cut 10 teeth at once! I know exactly where you are coming from. Good luck!
