My 17 year old son, it has been discovered, has suddenly decided to cease wearing underwear. My wife and I have noticed over a period of about three months now that neither she or I have been washing any of his underwear. And it's not getting lost in the dryer either. The other day we did a search of his sock and underwear drawer only to find his briefs and boxers untouched and pushed to the bottom of his dresser. About the same time as we suspect he ceased wearing any underwear he also swapped from fitted jeans to baggier pants including Dickies. Frankly I have some problems with him not wearing any - hygiene for starters but to be honest we're a bit creeped out by the whole thing. His mom has confronted him about it and he reckons he has no reason. His Mom and I don't wish to pry nor 'dictate' anything to a teenager but we are simply mystified about what's going on and slightly concerned. Has anyone else had this problem? We feel like we're spying but we just think that he needs to know that this practice can be unsanitary among other thing. He won't speak to me on the issue and when his mom has gone down that road all she gets is that underwear just isn't "made for him". Granted he is 5ft 8 and 125lbs but we don't see what that has to do with it.
