Need Help with my 17 year old son

I have a 17 year old son who is failing senior year in school, has never had a job and doesn't want to learn how to drive. With only 2 weeks left he is skipping school and lying to me about it. I don't know what to do with him! I told him he would have to go to summer school or work to remain at home but it's not motivating him to do anything. I don't want to throw him out with no place to go and without the skills he needs to survive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.......

Oh dear I dont think I will be of any help I myself have a 17yr old son and he sounds alot like your son whereas sadly enough he has failed and he feels like a failure he wont go out with his friends he stays home does not want to do anything its a real challenge whereas just recently he has spoken about joining the army Im not sure how I feel about that but as a parent I guess I will support him all the way maybe there is still some hope. I too need help...
