Default What did I do?

I have a son who is 17 will be 18 in 4 months. I have been noticing money missing here and there. I've noticed that he has been sleeping alot after school. Hanging with friends that I don't know much about. In the past few months he is never home during the weekends. Asking to spend the night. I would tell him no that he couldn't so he would call his dad and get permission and vise versa. When both of us caught on to this we told him that before we would give permission in the future Dad and I would need to discuss it first. I feel like I am rambling on and on. But since I confronted him about the stealing he has not been home. Won't answer my calls. He has been gone since last Thursday 22nd of September. He has been going to school not making every class but at least going. I talked with his counselor at school and discussed what was going on and she said she would keep an eye on him for me and let me know how he is doing. He has blocked me from his Facebook but I have family looking after him. From his facebook comments Apparently he might be expecting a child. Also commented on having the "green fever". I suspect that might be a marijuana term. I am not sure. I love this child with all that I have and it's hard for me since it seems everyone around me including school personnel say to just "Let him go" but I want him home and husband and the other children do not want him back. They tell me that the house is better with him not home. I can't sleep I worry. I am quite a mess. Has anyone else had a similar situation? How did you pull through?

I find it amazing that the school is not concerned that you do not know where your minor child is! I would be very concerned that you would be liable if something happened to him or to someone else because of his actions. Even if he is not living under your roof, I would think that as a minor he would still be considered your reponsiblity. Personally I would be at the police station filing a missing person report and then find a family therapist ASAP.

Good luck!
