Default what does your sahm schedule look like?

my dh used to tease all the time that i was not a stay at HOME parent, because i was never there. lol. i was social, what can i say? lol...lately i've been better about actually STAYING home, but i must say, it is so much harder to entertain kids at home all day. what do you do? do you have a set schedule you follow? what do you do to recharge during your child's naptime?

Wyatt is usually up by 6:30.

He eats breakfast, and then we go to the gym for my 8:15 spinning or Body Pump class (my gym has an AWSOME childcare center in it). We’re at the gym for about 1 ½ hours, and on the way home I usually run any errands I have (Wal-Mart, Target, Post Office, etc…)

Wyatt usually falls asleep on the way home, so I let him sleep in the car until he wakes up; which is usually about 30 minutes. (We have an attached garage, so I just close the garage door, open the car door, and open the doors from the garage to the laundry room and hallway, so I can hear him when we wakes up.

We’re usually home by 10:30 or 11:00; at which time I make lunch for Wyatt.

After that we play a little bit and then he usually goes down for a nap about 1:00 (give or take). He is a HORRIABLE nap taken, so his naps are only for about an hour…on a good day he’ll sleep for 1 ½ hours! I shower while he’s napping and clean up the house and/or do laundry. I wish I could take a nap while he’s napping, but if I do; then the house would never get cleaned and the laundry would never get done! I guess the shower/bath that I take while he’s napping is my “me time”.

When he wakes up I give him a snack, and then he plays with his toys.

We sometimes go for a walk in the late afternoon and/or play outside.

I then start to prepare dinner…about which time my husband comes home from work and takes over watching Wyatt.

Nothing too exciting, but I’m so lucky that I get to stay home with him!

We don't stay at home much, either!

My son has preschool MWF mornings, followed by speech. On Tuesday we go to story time at the library in the morning, and Playball in the afternoon. Thursdays I try to leave open for appointments or just for hanging out, going to the park or store or whatever.

Everett is usually up by about 8 a.m. I nurse him in bed.
Then we get up, I dress him, and we eat breakfast.

Regina and Luke are usually up by 9 am. I dress them and feed them.
Then we do a little bit of a modified "circle time." We go over what day of the week it is, the month, and what the weather is like outside. We count and sing a few songs.

Then I let them color or cut paper for a little while, until they become disinterested and try to color on the walls

Around 10, Everett is ready for his morning nap. I put on some cartoons for Regina and Luke while I nurse Everett to sleep.

That is when I do some things around the house. Laundry, load dishes, etc.

11:30 Everett is up from his nap. I make Regina and Luke lunch, feed Everett some baby food.

I let them play, and Everett crawl around on the floor while I fold laundry and watch Desparate Housewives

DH is home by 2 pm. Everett goes down for his afternoon nap at 2:20, and I nurse him to sleep. Regina and Luke are usually playing with DH.

When Everett gets up, I change him, nurse him again, and we get ready for our daily trip to the grocery store.

All kids are in bed by 9 pm.

**Although lately, Everett has been getting up at 4 am, and wating to play for about an hour, and going back to sleep at 5-ish. I hope he leaves this stage soon, because its REALLY making me tired.

I start homeschooling Regina and Luke at the end of the summer , and that will alter our daily schedules.
