Unhappy I think my teenage son age 17 has conduct disorder

Any advice please, my son at 12 had all the hospital checks for ADHD he was not hyperactive, but had ADD. He has always been a difficult child since the age of 3. Schooling was always a problem, he went to college at 16 and he didn't like that too much like school. His Dad died when he was 9 and he had an involuntary tick until he was 15, still small signs of this. But he has caused havoc in my house smashing things up and punching walls and doors, he has been stealing from my family and also from me and he has also been harrassing people in another street to ours. He has been in trouble with the police on a few occasions. He has no empathy for what he has done and does not see anything as wrong and still continues to do these things as if that is normal. He has broken into a house twice that belonged to a member of my family as if he had every right to be there. I not sure if I am tackling the problem correctly and how can I get some help or should I take him to the doctors. He also went missing for 5 days and he didn't tell me where he was he just rolled into the house as though nothing had happened. I just do not understand it is getting worse rather than better. At the end of my tether if he was 18 I would have thrown him out by now.

Hun, this sounds potentially far more serious than ADD or even a conduct disorder! I'd strongly recommend you find a psychologist who specializes in psychodiagnostic evaluations and have one done. This will more accurately determine what the cause of these ongoing problems is/are, and also give solid recs for treatment.
